2023 Platinum Winners in Therapy & Counselling category for Regina, SK.
The first time I met Lindsay, I blatantly opened with "I don't want to be here", while telling myself "just one hour and then you can say you tried it". Even though I needed help, I had no intentions of coming back. She created a safe, non-judgmental environment, and over time I slowly started to trust the process, let my guard down and open up.
She listened when I could barely voice the thoughts in my head. And in my darkest moments when I couldn't trust myself, I trusted her and her promise that things would get better. I was challenged when needed, but are also respectful of my need to do things at my own pace. She’s helped me understand that it takes true strength to ask for help.I wouldn't be where I'm at now, or where I hope to be, without her.
If things had never worked out the first time I saw Lindsay, I know I never would have tried again, and I know I wouldn't be here today . For that I am forever grateful.
K.P (35 yr old, mom of two)
The ability to have therapy from home is incredible and having Sara as a support person is amazing. Sara is great with both individual and couples therapy; open and honest and challenges at the right times. Also, she’s extremely flexible with appointment times which eliminates multiple barriers for us.
A.S (28yr old, mom of 2 boys, married 10 years)
My son (14) started seeing Sara and despite being hesitant to talk to a counsellor, Sara quickly established a sense of trust with him. He feels comfortable talking to Sara, and connected with her easily. She has a no nonsense, yet real life approach to dealing with teens. We are seeing a lot of improvements in his anxiety, a decrease in family stress and improved communication between him and myself. Thanks Sara for all your help! I would highly recommend Sara if you have a teen struggling with anxiety, peer peer pressure or family stress.
C.W (single mom of 14 yr old boy)
Lindsay has taken the time to get to know me, my life and what drives me. She recognized where I had unresolved feelings from my teen years and into my adult years. These unresolved issues were hindering my growth and ability to process the traumas of the loss of my children that I currently experience. Lindsay is wonderful and has taught me that I’m not alone, I have purpose and my journey is my own. She cares about the details and really gets to know you, all to help you work
through what you need. Without Lindsay, I would not be where I am today or even here to tell you how great she is.
M.L (27 yr old, mom of 1 son and two angels)
Lindsay is a beautiful, caring, compassionate person and made it comfortable for me to open up to her. She truly helped me with my post-partum anxiety. In addition we are currently using her training as a grief counsellor to help me with issues in that area.
She is never preachy or pushes any type of agenda and she uses very clear and concise phrases that resonate long after you've left the session.
J.I (44 yr old, mom of 2)
My wife and I attended the couples workshop. It was amazing not just for what it offered me personally as a husband and father, but to directly witness the level and quality of counselling my wife was privately receiving... a very affirming look behind an otherwise closed door.
There were guys there just like me and very different, with issues very similar to mine and very different, both reassuring that our relationship issues aren't just common and universal... they are in fact manageable (on both sides) with the right direction and support.
