Saskatchewan - Maternal Mental Health & Parenting Resources

The goal of the RPHN is to be a one stop shop for our community members; here to provide ongoing FREE support to individuals anywhere in the perinatal period (i.e currently pregnant - postpartum). They can provide FREE resources and support to moms and their support partners, caregivers etc.  

Their goal is to raise awareness about Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMAD’s) such as post partum depression and the impact on maternal mental health and children if PMADs go untreated

Services Offered :

* Individual Support for mom, support partners and caregivers 

*Group Zoom & In Person Support Groups :

- Weekly Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders group (aka PPD/PPA)

- Weekly ‘Connect & Play’ group

Women are referred to the Maternal Wellness Program by public health nurses, who screen them for depression and anxiety at the postnatal visit, and the two and six month Child Health Clinics. 

Those who are at risk of or experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety, or suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or death of a newborn are offered a referral. 

A HealthLine Registered Psychiatric Nurse or Social Worker calls the client at their preferred time to conduct assessments and offer support

Loreli Palandri and Sara Forster are two Registered Nurses who have a combined 20 years of experience caring for labouring families! 

They are the co-owners of From Seed To Sprout Perinatal Services, working with people across Canada throughout their pregnancy and postpartum period to empower them with education, ensuring they experience the best perinatal period possible.  Sara is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Kayla is a registered social worker and an expressive art therapist here in Regina. Kayla also owns "The Hive Wellness Center”. Kayla is working with women navigating the waves of motherhood through art therapy.
